 | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 20 July 2002 This store is not actually at the intersection of Centro & Ybor, but rather at the Centro Ybor, a revitalized area of Ybor City, named after a Spanish emigre who started a cigar industry. This area has been designated a National Historic Landmark District. Just a few blocks east is a rough part of town, and the lady at the visitor's center warned me to avoid it after dark. It's perhaps because of this, or perhaps because of how busy the area gets on weekends, that it became the first, or one of the first, locations in the country to be outfitted with video cameras equipped with facial-recognition software. |

Once you manage to tear your gaze away from the mesmerizing flames you might notice a padded bench in the corner. Then there is the mat built into the floor, the curtains, the chairs with an odd square hole in the padding. All in all, an all-around new concept look. |
