Starbucks in New Zealand

PUT DOWN THE PLASTIC

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please report any naming errors directly to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. However, if you know any of the opening/closing dates I am missing, please send them to me.

220 Queen Street, Auckland

This two-story, ever-busy location is Auckland's flagship store!

277 Woolworths, Auckland

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 15 January 2011

Clearly not in a Woolworths anymore. Oddly, this store does not serve brewed coffee.

Aotea Square, Auckland

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 15 January 2011

This store might be the wickedest in Auckland, if not all of New Zealand. Besides its utterly funky interior design, which is circular, with pie-shaped tables pointing in towards the center, the stores coolest feature is a mirrored ceiling about two stories high. Futuristic is how I would describe it, but really the store defies description--you just have to see it

Botany Town Centre - Ground Floor, Auckland

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 17 January 2011

This store display old history photos of the area (or Auckland, or NZ in general--they are not labeled). This is not unusual, but I would have expected to see these photos at a store in a more central and historic part of the city, not out in the "burbs" (if that even makes sense for Auckland).

Broadway Newmarket, Auckland

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 15 January 2011

This store, though small, is really cool for having the original door from the building mounted as a decoration.

BUT... if a tree falls in the forest while you visit your 10,000th store, and the media is away covering the tree, will the Siren still reward you with her blessed fruits?

Closed Stores

Stores Closed Before I Could Visit

The following stores are ones that I was not able to visit before they closed. Each of these stores represents the loss of a small piece of my soul. If I miss enough stores, I will eventually lose all of my soul and become like one of the walking dead. I appeal to Starbucks to alert me ahead of time before a store closes so that I will not lose my soul in its entirety.
