San Stefano, Alexandria
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 13 April 2011 This seaside store has a huge patio offering a good view of the Corniche and the ocean. The upstairs seating does not offer an outside view, but go upstairs anyway and notice the stone staircase. |
Alex Road, Cairo | ||
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 14 April 2011 This store is the furthest away from Cairo, and also the most beautiful. The architecture, though new, seems typically Arabian, not at all like what I would find in America. |
City Center Makram Ebeed, Cairo
![]() | OPENED: 28 December 2006, PHOTO: 12 April 2011 This store, the first I visited in Cairo (and in Africa) just happens to be the first store in the city (and continent), and I was pleased that it offered a couple of things not typical for American stores--a stone staircase, and an open-air balcony. ![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 12 April 2011 This mall store is unusual, from an American perspective, because it has both an upstairs and an outdoor patio (currently closed due to mall security concerns). |

Nasr Street, Cairo | ||
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 14 April 2011 This store has a separate smoking rope, but it is more unusual for being one of the few stores out on a street, instead of in a shopping centre. |
Nile City, Cairo | ||
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 14 April 2011 At the moment, the smallest store in Cairo. |
Palmera Heliopolis, Cairo
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 12 April 2011 This store benefits from both the ornate architecture of the enclosing building, and from a very large outdoor patio overlooking a vibrant street in the upscale Heliopolis neighborhood. |
Shooting Club, Cairo | ||
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 15 April 2011 This spacious store is in the upscale Mohandesin neighborhood. |
Sulaiman Abaza, Cairo | ||
![]() | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 15 April 2011 This store, in the upscale Mohandesin neighborhood, is unusual for Cairo because it is out on the street, an upscale thoroughfare with many cool shots. But what makes this store UNIQUE is the mural on the wall, which the owner of the space insisted remain... very good decision! Additionally, this store is larger than it looks, because it has a spacious seating area in the back as well as a separate smoking room. |
