This location, in the town of Anacortes on Fidalgo Island, is a mere 20 miles from Victoria, British Columbia. But it will take more than 15 minutes to get there, because the trip involves both a ferry trip and an international border crossing. If I'm lucky, I'll avoid the body cavity search that has surely increased in frequency with the rise in smuggling of "BC Bud", a strain of marijuana touted as the most potent around.
