Starbucks in Surrey

PUT DOWN THE PLASTIC

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please report any naming errors directly to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. However, if you know any of the opening/closing dates I am missing, please send them to me.

Epsom - Ashley Center, Epsom

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 05 June 2009

This location has two stories, which is unusual for a shopping centre location. But it's downstairs you will phone some photos of an older Epsom, on Derby day, when the town fills up because of horse races attended by the Queen herself!

Farnham - Lion and Lamb, Farnham

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 15 June 2009

This store has a display dedicated to three writers local to Farnham. If you click 'More', you can see the lion, but regrettably I did not have enough time to look for the lamb.

Guildford - Market Street, Guildford

OPENED: 01 January 2000, PHOTO: ? ? 2009

This store, the 200th in the UK, pays homage to Lewis Carroll with a quartet of illustrations from "Alice in Wonderland". Also, look upstairs for a colorful painting of a view from the High Street.

Guildford - White Lion Walk, Guildford

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 14 June 2009

This store, the first in Guildford, was remodeled with shiny brick-red tile behind the counter that I'd never seen before.

Wisley North Service Station, Guildford

Another one of a very limited number of service area locations. This one has a video monitor to display traffic info, but it was not working when I visited.

Hooley - Brighton Road, Reigate and Banstead

Besides its homey look, this store is unusual for being right on a highway, one of just a few such stores in England.

Woking Wolsey Walk 48, Woking

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 14 June 2009

This store instantly became one of my least favorite because it allows the Coign Church to display two very large signs right at the front door promoting meetings during which they will doubtlessly try to spread the destructive plague that is religion.

Stores Closed Before I Could Visit

The following stores are ones that I was not able to visit before they closed. Each of these stores represents the loss of a small piece of my soul. If I miss enough stores, I will eventually lose all of my soul and become like one of the walking dead. I appeal to Starbucks to alert me ahead of time before a store closes so that I will not lose my soul in its entirety.

Sainsburys North Cheam - Closed

Licensed Stores (not operated by Starbucks)

PLEASE NOTE
The list below is not meant to be a complete list of licensed stores. Some licensed stores are not listed on the Starbucks web site, and some of the stores listed below might have closed. That's not really important. I only keep track of them so I know which ones I don't need to visit. But if you know for certain that any of these are actually operated by Starbucks, please let me know (and send me a phone # so I can double-confirm).
