Unique elements of this store, besides the great old building that houses it, include a window painted in a colorfol pastoral scene, and the fact that the building also includes a fallout shelter. A sign on the outside explains that this building started out as a house intended to shelter travelers crossing the river on the historic bridge (hence the store's address on Bridge St.) and later became a bank. |
