Starbucks in Ireland

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please do not report any errors in the names or spellings of streets or cities to me, but rather to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. I will fill missing photograph dates as I have time, and I will continue to try and obtain store opening dates.

College Green-Dublin

OPENED: ?? September 2005, PHOTO: ? May 2008

This store, the busiest in Ireland, has several appealing features. Most prominent is a wooden bookshelf towards the front. Towards the back is a small room-like area that is very cozy. And in several locations are pieces of local artwork. I have seen local artwork at many stores in the US, but not so many overseas.

Dalkey - Castle Street (31)

OPENED: 20 September 2008, PHOTO: 29 May 2009

This store, build inside a historic buiding, is, bar none, one of the prettiest in Ireland, if not THE prettiest. The decor pays homage to the pharmacy (dispensary) that preceded it with a display of "salvage bottles" (I guess they held medications) in a pair of glass-enclosed shelves. This store is also one of the largest in Ireland, with two stories and even two stylish staircases.

Dublin - Blanchardstown Unit 137

OPENED: 01 January 2006, PHOTO: ? ? 2008

Though otherwise just like a mall store in the U.S., this location has a sectioned off seating-area right outside the front doors. I can't say I've ever seen that at any of the U.S. stores.

The Green Strand Street Malahide

OPENED: 22 June 2006, PHOTO: 07 May 2008

This store, in a very pretty little seaside suburb of Dublin, celebrates the Malahide community with a poem by Pat Ingoldsby superimposed atop a photograph by another local.
