Starbucks in CzechRepublic

PUT DOWN THE PLASTIC

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please report any naming errors directly to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. However, if you know any of the opening/closing dates I am missing, please send them to me.

Malostranske Namesti, Prague

OPENED: 22 January 2008, PHOTO: 17 July 2009, ORIGINAL VISIT: 16 July 2009

This store was an excellent choice for the first in the Czech Republic. You can see from the photo that the building (the Stone Table House) is pretty spectacular--notice the wooden window shutters, for example. Well, the stores interior does not disappoint. Pay attention to the decor throughout, and after you walk around the ground floor, go downstairs. Stop on the staircase and read the historical description, accompanied by photos, of the historic building. When you finish and get downstairs, notice the charming and cozy design that you are not likely to see anywhere in America.

Old Town Square- Prague

For being in such a popular plaza, this store is a rather small, but the view down the hallway from the counter, specifically the curved/arched ceiling design, gives the space a distinctively charming European feel.

This store has a new "heritage" concept design, and you MUST go upstairs when you visit. Though the second-floor seating is a bit small, look around and you will see illustrations sketching out some of Prague's historical moments.
